Betty Jo has painted thirty plus years and paints in various mediums with Water Color winning out as her favorite. Her style is impressionistic and illusionary with expression
and emotion. She paints with her soul and encourages her students to do the same.
Watching the pigments burst forth on her Arches Paper is her passion.
Her objective in teaching is to encourage her students to develop their own style by choosing their own subjects and developing the fine art of composition, value, rhythm, as well as applying the pigments to remain fresh and inviting to the viewer.
Betty Jo is a long time member of The Spokane Watercolor Society.
She regularly displays her paintings at the Spokane County Library in Spokane Valley, at Center Place in the Valley plus The South Side Senior Center.
