I have been involved in creating art since I was young. Having a father who was an Industrial Designer gave me a chance to experience different mediums and always hear about design and color. Little did I know that would be the direction I took in college, but with a little twist, I majored in Art Education. My major field was oil painting. Watercolor was my biggest challenge. After graduating from Western Michigan University I became a traveling art teacher. I never touched my oil paints again. Just for fun I took a watercolor painting class and it changed my direction to that medium and yes I too had my struggles with it. Now I have been teaching and painting for over 28 years and participating in many art shows around the West and have won numerous awards.
